Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems allow users to monitor levels, pressures, temperatures and status of equipment as well as control remote electrical devices.

The remote terminal units (RTU's), configured with the SCADA system, have built-in auto-dialing capability to call up to 16 preprogrammed phone numbers to alert maintenance personnel of alarm conditions. These auto-dialing RTU's can communicate over standard land lines or wireless telephone networks without the need to be connected continuously thereby running up high monthly phone bills. An auto-dialing RTU can come in many different configurations, starting with the simple 4 digital inputs to the expanded 32 digital inputs including 16 analog and 8 digital control outputs.

The auto-dialing RTUs are fully interactive. With any standard touch tone phone, people can call in for status reports, review and change programming or control a remote device. All this SCADA system automation is possible through services being provided by UMS.
